Welcome to Our Place

Lough Rynn Country House is situated in the Rynn Valley; you will be surrounded by a choice of angling waters, the most notable of which are the picturesque Lough Rynn, Creenagh Lake, Lough MacHugh, and Clonboniagh Lakes. These are well developed and easily accessible and have plentiful pike and recorded catches of tench up to 6 lbs with bream averaging 3 lbs. All waters are well signposted and fishing stands are provided. There is expert local angling advice available on all aspects of fishing in the locality and boats and bait can be easily organised. Mohill is also within easy access to the River Shannon and its tributaries, famous for bream, pike, roach, perch, rudd, eels and tench as well as brown trout.

South Leitrim is truly a waterworld, bejewelled with lakes and rivers. The greatest river, the River Shannon, flows nearby. Home to Ireland's major cruising base, a fisherman's paradise,
the area is liberally sprinkled with interesting visitor attractions, historic ruins and grand
houses, Lough Rynn Castle itself is situated within walking distance of our House. It was
once the home of Lord Leitrim himself.
